Our trip offers students an introduction to volunteering and travel. It highlights the opportunities that we provide for students to develop new skills and interests in countries rich with natural beauty and cultural diversity. Travelteer aims not only to utilise student efforts in project work but to inspire students to become young philanthropists, 'opening their eyes' to a wider world.

Community Development in Atlas Mountains

Our volunteer programme focuses on Community Development in the mountain villages of Morocco. This programme gives you unique access to live in a small community helping develop education, infrastructure & agriculture. Travelteerā€›s fundraising aims to make a big impact on these mountain communities, investing in the infrastructure that will provide children with brighter futures. Our sustainable projects have already improved agriculture, educational equipment and living conditions in several villages and weā€›re just getting started!

Slide Image for Agriculture

Agriculture

When it comes to agriculture, our projects centre around the needs of the local communities. The kind of tasks that volunteers could get involved with vary hugely, from building greenhouses to help increase crop yield and productivity, to building drip irrigation systems and assisting in daily farming duties within the local community. Previous projects have also included digging new water channels to create village-wide water distribution.

Classroom Revamp

At Travelteer we understand that for education to advance, students must have their basic needs covered. Through our classroom revamp scheme, we can provide a platform for students to excel. Volunteers will assist in the improvement of school facilities - helping provide children with a cleaner, brighter space to learn. Under the guidance of local experts, volunteers will help renovate and refurbish classrooms, kitchens or whatever infrastructure is most needed by the community at that time.

Slide Image for Infrastructure

Infrastructure

Travelteer partners with each community to help contribute to the villageā€™s infrastructure. The volunteer projects are based on the requirements of the village at the time to ensure meaningful impact. Generally, volunteers will be assisting local experts with basic renovation, whether that be building with mud brick or general maintenance within the village. This hands-on programme is a great way for students to experience a different way of life!
