Project

Summer School

Overview

Volunteers will be running a Summer School throughout the summer months. This will be open to any local children who are looking to improve their English and get involved in fun educational activities.

The focus of the summer clubs varies depending on the students’ abilities - Some students require basic English teaching assistance, while others require a stronger focus on IT support.

We also believe that sports can enhance learning and that’s why our volunteers introduce and coach sport lessons. Fundraising provides these schools with the basic equipment they need to teach PE and English lessons effectively.

Project

Community Agriculture

Overview

We make long lasting partnerships with every community we work in. One of our main aims is to help contribute to the village’s agriculture, which is a vital part of day-to-day life in Morocco.

You will get involved with field work such as planting crops or helping to plough the lands. The community survives off its own livestock which you will help tend too. All harvests produced are used within the local communities.

Project

Infrastructure

Overview

Our infrastructure projects aim to help improve the mountain communities in several different areas. The main focus of this project is to support women empowerment, where volunteers will be constructing a building for the Women’s Association. This will be made from mud brick, which is the traditional way of building.

Volunteers will also help dig and construct water pipelines, ensuring all the local community can access running water and to irrigate the farms.

Finally, Travelteer helps support all the local schools we teach in. We have helped construct new classrooms, school kitchens, toilet blocks and disabled facilities.
